Benchmarks for Performance Indicators
1A. Expenditure of funds to achieve mission.
The benchmark for Performance Indicator 1.A will be that the ratio
of instruction expenditures (as defined above) to total
E&G expenditures must be within one standard deviation of the average of the
comparable ratios for the aspirational peers.
1B. Curricula Offered to Achieve Mission.
The benchmark for Performance Indicator 1.B will be that the institution must
achieve 97 percent of this indicator to meet the standard.
1C. Approval of Mission Statement.
The benchmark for Performance Indicator 1.C is 100% for Yes, 0% for No.
1D. Adoption of Strategic Plan to Support the Mission.
The benchmark for Performance Indicator 1.D is 100% Yes; 0% No.
1E. Attainment of Goals of the Strategic Plan. The Committee agreed that this
indicator is based on quantifiable factors and should be measured on a scale which
reflects progress towards attaining goals. The Committee accepted as a useful
suggestion, that evaluation of this progress might be conducted by a panel of reviewers
selected from the aspirational peer institutions.
