SREB Veterinary Medicine Contract for Services Program

South Carolina maintains contracts, through SREB (the Southern Regional Education Board), providing specified numbers of seats for South Carolina residents in three schools of veterinary medicine, Tuskegee University (AL), the University of Georgia (GA,) and Mississippi State University (MS). You must apply directly to the institution of your choice for admission and may not be admitted as a "contract student" without a certificate of residency being issued by this office. But neither the SREB nor this Commission has any other role in the admissions process. The institution will make the final decision concerning whether or not to admit you, after you are certified as a South Carolina resident, and will notify you of its decision.

Upon receipt of your completed form, unless we need supplementary information, we will determine whether or not you can be considered a resident of South Carolina for the purpose of participating in this State's Contract-for-Services program, coordinated by the Southern Regional Education Board (SREB). We will then notify you and the institution you are planning to attend, concerning your residency status.

Please do not hesitate to call on us if we can provide any additional information or assistance.
